During the days of East India Company, the then Governor General Edward Law (Ellenborough), appointed Sir Charles Napier to fulfill a very specific, after sometime when Charles Napier was successful in his assignment he sent out a post to the Governor General to inform him of the success. Charles Napier wrote in that post a single word “Peccavi” which was enough for the Governor General to understand that the work was done. What could have been the message there?
